The Advanced Studies Center provides an enabling environment for the best minds and talents to work together with other national and international theorists to foster critical inquiry leading to design innovation. The central challenge for the Fellows is to synthesize the intellectual and theoretical aspects of specific issues relating to the Digital Revolution with practical applications.

€Public Education Center’s purpose is to implement the knowledge­sharing aspect of the Institute’s mission by organizing international cross cultural symposia, lecture series, seminars, and exhibits that are conducted by ARI’s Board, Advisors, Fellows and research associates. This is a concerted effort to reach the public and policy makers alike in order to bring about greater awareness of the innovative design possibilities and applications coming out of the work of the Advanced Studies Center.

As part of the Public Education Center, thePractitioner Fellows Program recognizes the need to encourage rising young architects to take an interest in the issues facing the city beyond the confines of their practice. This mid-career leadership initiative is the Institute’s pilot program to bring together craft, experience, and social context. Architectural firms are being urged to participate by pledging their support and nominating promising candidates.
